Innovative programmes help Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis patients

The Health Team develops Patient Support Programmes, educational programmes that aim at a better knowledge of the patient about his disease and therapeutic plan prescribed by his assistant doctor, promoting his autonomy and the improvement of his quality of life.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic, progressive and irreversible lung disease that affects people over fifty, with a higher incidence between sixty and seventy years of age. Pulmonary fibrosis requires pharmacological treatment and some lifestyle changes.

InspiRAR is a support program for patients with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. This programme provides patients and their caregivers, support from a team of specialised health professionals who, through a set of interactions, help patients to manage the disease, promoting the integration of medication into their daily routine and helping patients to manage any adverse events.

Adapting eating habits, improving sleep quality and adapting physical exercise to each patient’s condition are some of the aspects that, when worked on in a personalised manner, can improve the patient’s quality of life in terms of physical and mental well-being.

Joining the programme is free of charge. If you have any questions about this programme, please contact your doctor.
